FOUNDATION PARTS
facilitate the execution of foundation constructions.
– footings, pockets
They are used to tail columns into the foundations and transfer the forces from the columns to the bottom of the foundations. The concrete reinforcement protrudes from the footing pockets for the cast-in-place process. The surface of prefabricates – mould imprint. The dimensions of the elements are defined by the design documentation.
– foundation girders and grade beams
They serve to tail columns into the foundations and transfer the forces from the columns to the bottom of the foundations. The concrete reinforcement protrudes from the footing pockets for the cast-in-place process. The surface of prefabricates – mould imprint. The dimensions of elements are defined by the design documentation.
LINEAR STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS
– columns
Reinforced concrete columns are the basic element of precast concrete frames. The cross-section, length of columns, and the location of cantilevers are defined by the design documentation.
– beams, braces
Together with columns, they form the basic frame structure. The placement and shape of the elements can be flexibly adjusted to the designer’s requirements.
– girders
are designed for the construction of large buildings with the requirement of a free plan. They transfer the loads from the roofing to the supports. Girders are fitted to the column or the beam. The elements can be made lighter using holes. The dimensions and shape of elements are determined by the design documentation. Prefa Brno produces prestressed girders up to 32 m long, which are suitable for spans over 20 m.
– purlins
are elements, of eg. rectangular or trapezoidal shape, which are placed perpendicularly to the girders at spacings determined according to the type of roofing.
